We are back with our next bar event at a well known and loved venue, Hop & Vine Taproom, but with a twist. Instead of showing up and hoping that you’ll click with someone, we’re providing you with AI powered matchmaking via your phone to show you who your most compatible match in the room is.
Matching will be powered by Matchbox. It’s a software that uses relationship science to find you your most compatible match at the party. It’s also the same technology behind the Marriage Pact, a tradition at 100+ universities that’s matched more than half a million people to date.
How it works:
Upon arrival, you’ll take a matching questionnaire built by Matchbox’s team of relationship scientists and curated by your host.
The Matchbox algorithm will identify your optimal match at the party, based on relationship science, AI, and Nobel Prize-winning economics.
After mingling with the whole group, at 9-9:30 PM matches are revealed!

If your match isn’t love at first sight, that’s okay! The algorithm is designed for long-term compatibility, so at baseline, you’ll be values-aligned.
At the end of the day, this will be a great group of single people. Enjoy meeting everyone, and remember to be kind.
FYI—We aim to maintain a 50/50 male to female ratio but cannot guarantee that all attendees will show up, as life happens. If there is an uneven split, some matches will be paired platonically. These people receive a free ticket to a future bar event of their choice, valid for 60 days after this event.
Event Structure:
This event is highly intentional and the matching will proceed on schedule. Please be on time.
7:00pm—The event begins, the bar opens, you take your quiz 8:30pm—The Algorithm begins computing matches9:00pm—A series of clues are sent out. Anyone arriving later than 9 pm will no longer be able to participate in the Matchbox pairing. 9:15pm—Matches revealed!!10:30 —Event concludes
